About Doctor Ahmed Elwahidi
Consultant in general surgery, obesity surgery, laparoscopy and gastrointestinal surgery
Dr Ahmed Elwahidi was born in Amman and began his educational career at Al-Ittihad Schools. He completed his secondary education with distinction, being one of the most outstanding students throughout his academic career.
Achieving the highest grades, Dr Ahmed continued his journey towards realising his dream of becoming a doctor or even a distinguished surgeon, as he entered the University of Science and Technology and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and General Surgery, graduating with honours in 2008.
In 2011, Dr Ahmed began his journey towards his goal of becoming a surgeon in Germany, where he honed his surgical skills under the supervision of the most prominent surgeons in the field. His unwavering dedication and remarkable surgical acumen were evident throughout his training, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and mentors.
During his years of work in the Department of General Surgery, Dr Ahmed Elwahidi showed a particular interest in gastrointestinal surgery, performing hundreds of surgical procedures, which gave him a strong motivation to further specialise in this field.
In 2021, Dr Ahmed obtained the German Board Certificate in Gastrointestinal Surgery.
In 2022 he obtained the German Fellowship in Procto-Anal Surgery and the German Fellowship in Nutritional Medicine from the German Society for Nutritional Medicine.
Then European Board Certification in General Surgery in 2023.
During the last years of his work in the Department of Surgery, he developed an increasing interest in obesity and laparoscopic surgery, as it is a health problem facing many communities and is constantly increasing in our Arab society in particular, which gave him a strong impetus to become a specialist in this field, obtaining the title of Consultant in General Surgery and Laparoscopic Obesity Surgery. Dr Ahmed Elwahidi has performed hundreds of successful operations and changed the lives of many people for the better.
